When did you start playing? Who taught you the basics at that time? Is golf a sport you really love?
- I started to play golf when I was 5 years old. Me and my brother started because our parents were playing and that was something we all could do together at that time. My parent showed me the basic and then both me and my brother entered the junior golf school at the local golf club.
- I love golf really much because it’s a sport that really challenge me every time and everyday. It’s both physically, mentally and technical which is the terms I really like. It’s a lot of ups and down which also always makes the sport so interested.
Did you compete in Junior tournaments?
- Yes, I played Skandia Junior Tour home in Sweden. But no, I didn’t play college golf because when I was 12 I stopped playing golf and continued with figure skating instead. Which I did for 21 years.
What do you feel is your best achievement as an amateur and as a pro so far?
- I did win some of my junior competitions which I’m proud of. I won the Class of Girls 1 and that’s my biggest junior competition achievement, but that’s a lot of years ago. As an amateur my biggest achievement was making a hole in one and also shooting my lowest round of 68 shots. As a pro my biggest achievement 8th place in Santander Golf Tour, in Coruña.
Are you enjoying competitive golf at the Santander Golf Tour?
- Yes, I really love it. I was so welcomed the first competition when I didn’t know anybody. All girls were so kind and I really appreciated everything. The Tour is an amazing opportunity for us girls to play some competitive golf in beautiful Spain. I really love this tour and I will continue to play it the nearest future.
- I also like that it feels like a family with everyone and we play amazing courses.
What are your plans in the next few years? Are you going to try out the LPGA or PET or other tours?
- My plans now for the fall is to participate in the Q-school for the LET. It’s the 9-16 December at La Manga in Spain. That’s my next tournament that I will play and I’m super excited. For next year right now, my plan is to play the LET Access Tour with the goal to finish top 20 on the ranking. I also want to participate and try out some of the LET competitions that holds in Sweden next year.
