Filipinas struggle in MLAO opener
Lia Duque scored an 82 and Jordan Ouano made an 83 in the Open Division at the start of the 40th Malaysian Ladies Amateur Open held at the Glenmarie Golf and Country Club in Selangor, Malaysia.
The Filipinas will have to do better in the second round as they trail big against leader local star Foong Zi Yu, who made a 71.
In the Mid Amateur Division 1, Vicky Herrera shot a 91 to be inside the top 20.
Duque, Ouano and Herrera are part of the Philippine contingent backed by the Women’s Golf Association of the Philippines, Leads Agri, Only Birdies and 3 Strokes.
