The Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines kicked off its Interschool Preseason with a bang as more than 220 players braved the heavy monsoon rains and competed at the Mimosa Plus Golf Course inside the sprawling Clark in Pampanga.
Kids aged seven and up all the way to college students showed readiness and enthusiasm to play despite the Habagat-a testament to the efforts of JGFP to elevate the level of competition and commitment of producing golf champions.
”This is the kind of junior golfers we want, not affected by inclement weather conditions. They displayed character beyond our expectations,” said JGFP President Oliver Gan.
Gan, with dieectors Ely Saludar and AJ Adivisio awarded the winners in the double shotgun event.
